Update University website content as directed by the Web Content Manager. Collect, edit, and organize content for the web. Create webpages and publish web content through a content management system. Provide training and support to all content management system users, and effectively communicate web content strategies and best practices to our users. Create weekly message slides and schedules for external digital signage, and serve as the contact for scheduling questions.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Manage content of the internal announcements pages (Students and Faculty/Staff login pages) in accordance with the university web policy; assist and direct announcement section moderators.

2. Assist CMS users with questions and maintain regular communication with CMS users via blog entries, email and other announcements.

3. Update university websites as directed by the web content manager. Adhere to the brand identity guide policy. Adhere to the university web policy, editorial style guide and all relevant department policies.

4. Create weekly readerboard message schedule, upload data to boards and serve as the contact person for readerboard questions or problems.

5. Emails, meetings, phone calls.

6. Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.

7. Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s Christian model and Mission – Training Champions for Christ.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencie s

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite/Photoshop preferred.
  • Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
  • Excellent computer and organizational skills.

Communication and Comprehension

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
  • Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
  • Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Computer skills .

Problem Solving

  • Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
