EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Under the general supervision of the Program Support & Developmental Specialist III of the School Health Section, the Educational Specialist II: 1. Provides leadership to facilitate the development, refinement, and implementation of policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures related to the areas of programmatic oversight. 2. Provides leadership, guidance, and assistance to district offices, complex areas, and schools in the implementation of school health programs. 3. Provides leadership in working collaboratively with other with other state agencies, organizations and constituent groups in developing and providing a range of programmatic options that serve students, families, and schools.4. Communicate information in various formats regarding resources and current research and provides training as needed for district, complex area, and school-level personnel relative to areas of program oversight. 5. Provides progress monitoring for areas of program oversight (contracts, projects, Memorandums of Understanding, Memorandums of Agreement, special assignments) and assures adherence to meeting deliverable expectations. 6. Manages budget relative to areas of program oversight; allocates funds to districts and monitors appropriate use of program funds. 7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
SALARY RANGE: EOSR-7, $110,136 to $155,904. Department of Education certificated employees will be placed on the salary range in accordance with Department regulations.All others will be placed on the first step of $110,136.WORK YEAR AND BENEFITS: This appointment will be on a 12-month basis with vacation and sick leave provided according to applicable regulations.
